Bishopric

We got the call from the Stake President.  He actually called my phone because he had tried James and James never answers his phone.  Well, he never did.  But that was before.

When he asked for James, we just knew.  We knew we were going to be getting a new bishop soon, and so we knew when he asked us to meet with him that Saturday night, James would be getting a call to serve in the bishopric.  2nd counselor.

He shaved and ordered a suit.  It's been a crazy few months.  Meetings, meetings and more meetings.  He always answers his phone now.  And it's usually someone who needs something.

I am still the primary president.  We are very busy.  And very blessed.  We have started REGULAR family home evening, scripture study, and family prayer (TWICE a day!).  We have felt peace and comfort when we thought we might be too busy to stay afloat.  We have grown to LOVE our Bayfield ward family, and appreciate the service and sacrifice of many former bishops/bishoprics.

James has a few new grey hairs! But he has also grown spiritually and personally as he is putting his faith and trust in Heavenly Father to sustain and support him in this BUSY work.  We are truly blessed.
